Liberty Hamilton, PhD

Liberty Hamilton is an Assistant Professor in UC Berkeley’s Department of Neuroscience and the Department of Statistics, with an affiliation at UCSF Department of Neurosurgery.She’s the Principal Investigator on this project, meaning she leads the research of the entire team!

Anne Anderson, MD 

Dr. Anne Anderson is the Medical Director of the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at TCH. She aids in patient referral and recruitment at TCH.

Dave Clarke, MD, MBBS

Dr. Dave Clarke is the Chief of Pediatric Epilepsy at the University of Texas at Austin and the Director of the Comprehensive Epilepsy Program at Dell Children's. He aids in patient referral and recruitment at DCMC.

Rosario DeLeon, PhD

Dr. DeLeon is a Pediatric Neuropsychologist at the Comprehensive Pediatric Epilepsy Center at Dell Children’s. Dr. DeLeon provides neuropsychological evaluations to our participants in both English and Spanish; she also aids in patient referral and recruitment at DCMC.

Gerick Lee, PhD

Gerick Lee, a Weill Neurohub Fellow, holds a PhD in Neural Science from New York University. His work uses behavioral and neurophysiological methods to study how the brain encodes sensory inputs, and to study how that function develops.

William A. Schraegle, PhD

Dr. Schraegle is a pediatric neuropsychologist practicing within the Comprehensive Pediatric Epilepsy Center at Dell Children’s. He provides pre- and post-surgical assessments for our participants. He also aids in patient referral and recruitment at DCMC.

Sandy Georges, MS 

Sandy Georges has a BS in Neuroscience with a psychology minor and an MS in medicine. She works at Texas Children's Hospital to recruit and collect neural data with patients undergoing surgical treatment for epilepsy.

Evan Kittle, BS

Evan Kittle is a staff research associate at UC Berkeley. He received his B.S. in neuroscience at UC Santa Cruz, and has worked in neuroimaging labs and startups on various projects studying depression, alcohol use disorder, and brain computer interfaces.

Howard Weiner, MD

Dr. Howard Weiner is a Professor of Neurosurgery

at BCM and TCH, as well as the chief of neurosurgery at TCH. Dr. Weiner performs all invasive monitoring surgeries at TCH.

Dr. Tyler-Kabara is the chief of Pediatric Neurosurgery at UTHealth Austin at Dell Children’s Medical Center. Dr. Tyler-Kabara performs invasive monitoring surgeries at DCMC.

Dr. Nancy Nussbaum is a Pediatric Neuropsychologist at Dell Children’s Medical Center. Dr. Nussbaum provides neuropsychological and epilepsy evaluations to our participants; she also aids in patient referral and recruitment at DCMC.

M. Omar Iqbal, MD

M. Omar Iqbal, MD, is a pediatric neurosurgeon in UT Health Austin Pediatric Neurosciences at Dell Children’s, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. He specializes in pediatric neurosurgery, with a particular focus on pediatric spine conditions and epilepsy. Additionally, Dr. Iqbal is an assistant professor in the Dell Medical School Department of Neurosurgery at The University of Texas at Austin.

Rajvi Agravat, BS

Rajvi Agravat (BS) is a 3rd year Neuroscience Ph.D. student at UT Austin.  Her goal is to help improve auditory attention in people preparing for epilepsy surgery using intracranial EEG. Prior to joining UT, she was a Research Assistant at the Jarvis Lab at Rockefeller University in New York where she studied motor cortex connectivity and its role in vocal production.

Leah (Xin) Du, MA

Leah is a first-year Ph.D student at UC Berkeley. Her background is in computer science and psychology. She is interested in understanding how bilingualism is represented in the human brain.

Jacob Leisawitz, BS

Jacob Leisawitz graduated from Syracuse University in 2024 with a B.S. in Neuroscience and Biochemistry. Jacob recruits patients at Texas Children’s Hospital. He plans to pursue medical school to explore his interests in many fields including neurosurgery, orthopedics, and endocrinology.
